Originally from Bronx, New York but now hailing from Charlotte NC, Paoblu is the self proclaimed hometown hero and although we've only heard 3 songs, she's making some serious waves.
We covered her debut smash "Neighborhood" when it came out, you can check out that song/article here (we are trying to get our old posts back). Spoiler alert, we frickin loved it and we've had her on our radar ever since.
Fast forward a couple of weeks and we got two new songs to sink our teeth into and they're both sounding smooth as butter.
"Going Nowhere in My Head" is a tad more introspective than "Neighborhood", but that doesn't make it any less sweet and raw. The best is more trap influenced with clicking hi hats and a lush synth carrying the track and providing a canvas that seems like it was made to be painted by her airy and dreamlike vocal performance.
Her latest effort is a collaboration with her boyfriend and another CLT artist to watch out for Kira Zen (@zeivon on Instagram), it finds the two spitting introspective bars over a guitar driven beat that oozes vibes.
This is the first song featuring just the two of them, and word on the streets is there is a collab tape coming featuring the two of them, it's honesty relationship goals!
